A Pirates Life for Me

A Pirates Tale
Pirates of the Caribbean:The Curse of the Black Pearl is a multi-billion dollar Walt Disney production. The creation of the movie came from a Disney Adventure theme park ride, Pirates of the Caribbean. The film was produced by Jerry Bruckheimer and directed by Gore Verbinski. Hanns Zimmer and Klaus Badelt composed the music. The fantastic music will send chills down your spin. They did an excellent job in composing the wonderful music for this movie. Surprisingly Pirates grossed more than $654 million worldwide. Two sequels followed Pirates of the Caribbean:The Curse of the Black Pearl, Pirates of the Caribbean:Dead Man's Chest and Pirates of the Caribbean:At World's End.

The Adventure
This wild pirate adventure first takes place when the Governor and his daughter, Elizabeth (Keira Knightly), are sailing to Port Royal, Jamaica. There ship comes across a shipwreck and they end up rescuing a boy by the name of Will Turner (Orlando Bloom). Elizabeth comes across a strange madallion that turns out to be a cursed Aztec pirate madallion that is wanted by the Black Pearl and it's crew of the undead. A strange pirate enters Port Royal and claims to be the legendary Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) who knows all about the Black Pearl and its mutinous crew and it's terrible captain, Captain Barbossa (Geoffrey Rush). The Black Pearl attacks Port Royal in search of the missing medallion that will undue their dreadful curse. The only way to undue their curse is to spill the blood of a Turner. They capture Elizabeth thinking she is the only daughter of one Bill Turner. Will Turner helps Jack Sparrow escape, and together they hunt down the Black Pearl in a brave attempt to rescue Will Turner's love, Elizabeth Swann.

The Pirate Crew
The crew of Pirates of the Caribbean:The Curse of the Black Pearl is a cast full of great actors and actresses. Keira Knightly, Orlando Bloom, Geoffrey Rush, Jack Davenport, Jonathan Pryce, and Johnny Depp. Johnny Depp does an excellent job portraying his character of a slightly drunken, slurred talk, and akward hand gestures of his odd pirate, Jack Sparrow.

Enjoy
Pirates of the Caribbean:The Curse of the Black Pearl is an exciting adventure tale, and it's sequels are just as equal in adventure and excitment. This is a movie that everyone should see, and you will enjoy it! There is no doubt you won't enjoy this great movie!

"Count" on a great movie

The History
The Count of Monte Cristo is an adventure novel written by Alexandre Dumas in 1844. It was later turned into a movie in 1934 and 2002. I have never seen the 1934 version, but the 2002 version is excellent! The Count of Monte Cristo is a great book/movie of love, revenge, redemption, and treasure. It is one of my all time favorite movies! None of my friends have ever heard of it, and I got them together and we watched it. Now, it is one of their favorite movies. It really is a great movie!

The Tale (2002)

Edmond Dantes (James Caviezel) has just been made the new captain of the Pharaon. Just as he has finally made his dream come true, he is taken under arrest and sent to one of the worst prisons, Chateau D'If. While in prison he meets a new friend who tells him all about the mysterious treasure of Monte Cristo. Edmond's new found friend helps him uncover his own mysterious imprisonment. After a miraculous esacpe Edmond searches for the lost treasure of Monte Cristo and seeks revenge on the ones who caused his imprisonment. He then becomes the Count of Monte Cristo. Edmond soon finds out the reason for his imprisonment and many other secrets.

Characters
The actors/actresses of the Count of Monte Cristo portray their characters very well. James Caviezel, Guy Pearce, James Frain, Luis Guzman, JB Blanc, Dagmara Dominczyk, and Richard Harris (Dumbeldore from Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone and Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets) all do a wonderful job. The wonderfully assorted cast really sets a great mood for the movie.

The Count Down
The Count of Monte Cristo is really a must see movie. It is also a very good book. If I were you I would read the book and watch the movie. You will not regret making these choices.

ENCHANTED
Enchanted is a comedy-fantasy-musical. The film’s director is Kevin Lima and was written by Billy Kelly. The MPAA has rated Enchanted as PG. It's release date is November 21, 2007. It looks really cute and funny. My mom and I can't wait to go see it.

Giselle soon finds herself falling in love with the engaged lawyer, Rob (Patrick Dempsey). Giselle's future husband, Prince Edward (James Marsden), makes his own way into the real world to find his love. In the end Princess Giselle must make a choice between Prince Edward and Rob.

Music

The films music is being composed by Alan Menken and Stephen Schwartz. Alan and Stephen also composed the music for many other Disney movies such as The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, Pocahontas, and many more. It has been said that six songs have been recorded for the movie and at least five of the songs will end up in the finished film. Carrie Underwo
od has even been found to have recorded a song called "Ever Ever After" for the film.

Cast

The
cast is a wonderfully assorted cast. Many stars on the cast list of Enchanted are Patrick Dempsey, Amy Adams, Julie Andrews, Timothy Spall, James Marsden, and many more actors.

Must See

I encourage everyone who loves a fairy tale love story to go see this movie. You will never find out if a movie is great unless you go see it for yourself. Go see it! I know I will.

What This Blog Is All About . . .

This is JuicyWorm, co-founder of the MovieWorms blog. We are a new blog in the movie world. The reason we are here is to provide a quick review and rating of each new release to hit the stores and the box-office. My partner for the blog, SlimyWorm, will be critiquing each movie while I will be giving the “juicy” news of each new release.

Who Are We?

We are just two teens that love movies! We aren’t being paid to watch movies and rate them or anything like that; we are just doing it for the love of movies!
