Of all the action/adventure, sci-fi thrillers ever made, Jurassic Park has go to be the greatest! As one of the highest grossing movies of all time, Jurassic Park still remains a favorite of almost everyone I know. Jurassic Park was first a book written by Michael Crichton in 1990. Steven Spielberg later directed it in 1993. Jurassic Park opened in theaters nation wide in June of 1993. It took the world by storm with its incredible special effects and great story line. Jurassic Park was followed by two sequels , The Lost World: Jurassic Park, and Jurassic Park III. There have been rumors of a Jurassic Park IV to open in theaters in 2008.
The Park
On a remote island off the coast of Costa Rica, a wealthy entrepreneur (Richard Attenborough) secretly creates a theme park featuring living dinosaurs drawn from prehistoric DNA. Before opening the park to the public, he invites a top paleontologist (Sam Neil), a palaeobotanist (Laura Dern), a mathematician/theorist (Jeff Goldblum), and his two eager grandchildren (Joesph Mazzello and Ariana Richards) to experience the park -- and help calm anxious investors. However, their visit is anything but tranquil as the park's security system shuts down, the savage dinosaurs break out, and the excitement builds to surprising results.
